Jonathan P. HarrillJonathan P. Harrill is licensed to practice law and a member in good standing with the State Bars of California and North Carolina. He established Harrill Law for domestic and international clients seeking legal counsel on California and North Carolina civil laws.

Mr. Harrill began his Professional Career with a Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical Company. He managed a multi-million dollar sales territory and successfully launched three new products designed for the treatment of Diabetes. Through this endeavor, Mr. Harrill gained significant business experience in the areas of management, marketing, sales, financial planning, FDA guidelines, state and federal government regulations, market analysis, team building and corporate governance. Clients benefit from Mr. Harrill’s Fortune 500 experience because he understands companies must take measured risks to achieve success, and legal counsel should not only be precise but also include practical business perspective.

Mr. Harrill transitioned into the commercial real estate development industry following pharmaceuticals, and worked with an entrepreneurial group to develop a hotel and golf course conference center located on the southern coast of North Carolina. While working closely with outside legal counsel on the project, Mr. Harrill developed a passion for the law and went on to earn his Juris Doctor. He attended law school in Southern California and worked for private practice attorneys, a real estate investment company and a preeminent California Law Firm. These work experiences during law school developed his legal knowledge and experience in the practice areas of California Commercial Real Estate Transactions, State and Federal Taxation, Incorporation, State and Federal Securities Laws, Private Placements, 1031 Exchanges, Landlord/Tenant law, and the legal issues surrounding Tenant-In-Common (TIC) syndicated offerings.

Mr. Harrill began his Legal Career after law school in private practice counseling North Carolina clients in the practice areas of Commercial and Residential Real Estate transactions, Municipal Law, Lender Representation, Incorporation, Partnerships, Wills and Trusts, Securities and Civil Litigation matters. Following private practice in North Carolina, Mr. Harrill returned to Southern California where he now resides with his beloved wife, son and dog. Mr. Harrill’s California legal experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel to a private California manufacturing and entertainment corporation. As Associate General Counsel, he was tasked with managing an intellectual property portfolio of patents, trademarks and copyrighted works, including management of outside special counsel to prosecute new patent applications in accordance with defined financial resources. In connection with managing the intellectual property portfolio, Mr. Harrill counseled the Executive Committee on technology and merchandise licensing strategies. He supported General Counsel and drafted non-disclosure agreements, confidentiality agreements, employment contracts, independent contractor agreements, requirements contracts, domestic and international distribution agreements, subscription agreements and other contracts related to corporate governance. Mr. Harrill also counseled the Sales, Marketing and Production divisions in the areas of international and domestic distribution, including toy product safety and testing guidelines for the United States and European Union member countries. He provided legal counsel to the Engineering and Online Game Development divisions and drafted End User License Agreements, website and online games Terms of Use, Privacy Polices for US and European territories, advised on the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) guidelines, CAN-SPAM Act, FTC Act and the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
